My first job in the game industry came in 1998, when I was hired as an assistant designer or the PS1 platforming game Monkey Magic. After a brief layover with Dark Horse Comics, I returned to my native Eugene to join newly founded Pipeworks Studios, where I was a central figure in their development of the Godzilla, Rampage, and Prince of Persia series.
- Game Designer
In 2007 I left Pipeworks to move across the street to Buzz Monkey, who was partnered with Crystal Dynamics on the Tomb Raider series. While working at Buzz Monkey I also designed the scoring system and challenges for Tony Hawk: Ride, and built the weapons system for Army of 2: 40th Day.
In 2009 I left Buzz Monkey, becoming an independent contractor. (Mostly for Pipeworks, where I assisted on the Deadliest Warrior franchise.)
In 2011 I founded Sunstone Games to explore the mobile space, keep creative control over my projects, and try to expand the notion of quality in video games. I am currently working on Kaiju Combat!
