A Zilla pack would be so awesome! It would basically be the the Zilla the animated series pack.
tbh I was surprised at the lack of Godzilla 1954 on your list as well, haha. Simon mentioned he was greatly looking forward to bringing back the entire roster of GU (Obsidius & Krystalak included), so Godzilla 1963 may end up being in the 4th pack...?
And yeah, Keizer Ghidorah is still an issue.
I'm quite aware! But I'll admit, it slips my mind often; every time I think of Gigamoth I think of the Mothra-Battra fusion from Godzilla Neo.
Since Gigamoth was never officially made, I'd assume the monster concept could be used with an entirely new origin. Gigamoth sounds like something that'd be in the same league as Super Godzilla and Bagan if it turned out to be a fusion bug or something (especially with Mothra & Battra).
I like this Gigamoth better than that Gigamoth concept art.
Yup G54. (Unclearness strikes again!)
I would replace Minya (same pack) and then the perfect list has been created.
Everything else you said I am aware of.
My completely honest personal opinion: I will hate seeing Obsidious or Krystalak be in any of the Godzilla releases before the movie kaiju. The monsters that were actually in Godzilla/Toho films should have a much bigger priority than monsters that were only in a video game once. I don't think they should be in anything other than a release consisting of Godzilla video game exclusive monsters because they would be taking the place of a monster that was in an actual film.
What about a video game/misc. Godzilla monsters release? I reluctantly agree that the movie monsters have more priority than comic book- or even video game-exclusive monsters... but I'm more worried that such exclusives might get screwed over by the license expiring, which would be terrible. ):
Do you mean that your'e worried Sunstone's rights to the Godzilla monsters would expire before the comic/game exclusive monster release can get made?
Correct; I have no idea how long they have the license for. And I believe they want to make it so that we get a Godzilla release 1 year, then an original release the next year, so on and so on. Unless the community decides otherwise ?
Godzilla/Toho has a surprisingly robust amount of monsters to cover...
That's why I would be more content with only having the biggest, most famous monsters and only get maybe 10 if we are lucky rather than have 20 but 6 of them are not movie monsters. Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah, Anguirus, Rodan, Mechagodzilla, Gigan, Baragon, Zilla, Destroyah (or something along those lines).
There are essentially a bit less than 45 Toho monsters excluding monsters outside of the films. It will be tough enough to decide on which ones to get in without trying to add the external kaiju into the mix. We will be lucky to even have all of the monsters from previous Pipeworks games.
I would support making all releases while Sunstone holds the the license Godzilla/Toho ones...
Also, if I remember correctly, all the G:U models or something are already stored on the engine they're using... so that cuts down time needed quite a bit I would assume...
Did you do that in sculptris?
Yep, I've been practicing with it lately.
I would really like to see Godzilla 64 as a playable character. That guy was boss.
How did you render that image?
That would be a good idea. Possible monsters could include C-rex, Cyberzilla, The giant bat and Cobra. another thing to consider is this person who designed monsters for his own version of season 3 of the series: http://dino-master.deviantart.com
One question would be who owns the copyright to the characters?
Toho, for one. Tri-Star or Fox may have some stake in it.
The guy who worked on it also has deviantart it right here - http://filbarlow.deviantart.com/gallery/30793136
Wonder what he thinks of http://dino-master.deviantart.com's work.
