Obviously this game is not yet available to the public - so if you want to learn more you should probably start with the designer diary entries from my personal blog:

Well, the game's not available yet - only 30 people have ever played it. Give it time!

Always enjoy reading your blog posts Simon. Interesting to see how the game has changed and it sounds like it would be fun to play though the fact that it seems team-oriented makes me think it would be hard to play outside of conventions or something like a local comics/game shop. One thing that was really surprising is that in your second blog post you mentioned mass being represented by "hundreds of glass beads" which seems contrary to the point on the website about using a few pieces as possible. I suppose that could have been something that changed when you altered how mass accumulates, though.

Speaking of changes, it's good that you change the forum name to "The Worldship" but it looks like the website still says "Breaking Point." I tried to make a note to you about it in this thread as well. Just something you might want to do before the release so people aren't looking for a game that doesn't exist.

I'd be interested in learning more about the gameplay, do you have any footage of the trial runs? Or alternatively would you be willing to share the rulebook or anything? Although there are a lot of interesting ideas here it's hard to get a feel for how it would play just from reading about it - although it's easy to see certain inspirations like the character sheets from Arkham Horror and the cards from games like Level 7 [Escape] and similar.

What I meant by "as few pieces as possible" was "as few different kinds of pieces as possible."

The glass beads are almost the only component the game uses - so when you're done you literally just dump the beads into the box, fold the board up, and put away your character cards.

Compare to Axis & Allies, or Arkham Horror - where you have incredibly long setup & tear-down times because there are so many card types & different components to sort through. Worst of all, losing a bit can make the whole game unplayable! Those were the issue I was trying to skirt around.

Nope. Got caught up in this whole "CKC development" deal. I hope to return to it someday and get it published.
