When's the first episode?
Hey, so Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth has been out for a couple weeks. And it's pretty good, I'm 17 hours in and aching to get back to it again.
Also, Digimon Tri is available on CrunchyRoll and probably Hulu, so go check that out, too.
And all the Digimon seasons are on CrunchyRoll as well.
Tri fixes this - or at least the first part - somewhat.
So, I'm a year late in realizing Cyber Sleuth is a sequel to Dawn/Dusk. Now I need a PS4.
Speak of the Devimon...
So, been playing, on Chapter 7. Cherrymon, MegaSeadramon, and Infermon is my battle team at the moment. I'm REALLY enjoying this game.
this is where it's at
Was never too into the digimen as a kid, that kind of thing (as well as stuff like PokEmon) was something my brother was always way more into so I still had quite a bit of exposure. I do love Impmon though and always have, I have a soft spot for goofy villains like that (also he's down right adorable).
Didn't take so long this time: http://gematsu.com/2017/03/digimon-story-cyber-sleuth-hackers-memory-coming-west-early-2018
So today I learned that the director of the first Digimon movie directed an episode of the first Digimon season that he intended was to be about a 'love story' between Tai and Kari that was meant to cross sibling love and just be straight up incest.
No seriously, I'm not joking.
Well Digimon's story is pretty insane already. Alternate Universes, reboots as well and the Awful Ending to Adventure 02 that had Everybody and their Mom cry Blasphemy when all the characters ended up with the wrong person. It's like they took a slot machine on who would end up with who and contradicts all previous romantic relationships.
"Japan, We Ruin your ships"
Also I agree that this is kinda messed up for a kids show.
Wow, that's fucked.
So your gut reaction to learning about there almost being canon incest between Tai and Kari is "wow, that would really mess up the relationships, glad they didn't do that." with it "kinda being messed up for a kid's show" as an after-thought?
Well, my childhood's ruined.
