I hope you like it
sry the head has become a littlebit to big
small overhaul...Donuba Gijinka
I drew a Donuba! If there's anything wrong with it/that I could change, do post!
I imagine her acting like a dog. A big, mutant, subterranean dog.
This could be her official design. Such detail! You're a great artist!
I actually based it off of HE's design. I like his a bit more.
Still, great work.
RIP old non shit design.
I feel this new design makes a bit more sense for a burrowing animal. I'm also partial to ape-creatures, so that's also a factor.
No, it doesn't. The design isn't streamlined, which helps greatly for burrowing animals. The arms are at an awkward position for intended burrowing, and the legs are unable to kick out any dirt and sand that would be generated and shoveled away by the claws. Furthermore, the forepaws do not have the solid-ness to take the kind of stress that would happen during burrowing, and eyes, especially large eyes, would be useless and would atrophy from non-use.
In addition, Donuba does not have a lot of teeth. She doesn't really need them, and they are likely to suffer wear and tear from use of the erosion beam. Also, the exterior scales would be smooth, and most likely shiny, for and from burrowing, as the scales get buffed by the sand and the smooth surface removes any grip that rocks and such would have.
Ah. Sorry for talking out of line, sir.
According to this page right here, Donuba is a Giant Captive Subterranean Animal. Seems about right.
Now this one I like quite a bit, especially the face. Has lots of character.
Cool! I like the new Donuba!
For whatever reason, I've gotten a nostalgic tickling, and have gone back to Donuba. Currently, while I am trying to art her out, I've added back in the tail. Donuba was really a kind of a combination of "Burrowing + Tail", and removing seriously limited her. However, the sketch-work as of right now is unfinished; I'm having pains making it look good.
