Last film I saw was Transformers the Last Knight with my dad. He loves turn-off your brain action flicks. I get a kick out of them too but these films can be borderline exhausting at times. I thought was pretty much what I expected and what we got before. Still had some pretty dumb plot points even for a sci fi film about robots that turn into cars. While exhausting, the effects were pretty nice as usual. I feel like we've gotten to the point where I can't distinguish between transformers final battles anymore but I guess this one will stick out by context. Wasn't overly impressed but I knew what I was getting so I can't say I was disappointed either. I will say that Peter Cullen's Optimus Prime still gets the kid inside me hyped up with the messages that he's been sending since the first film.

True! I wish they would make a new one, maybe a flick kind by itself, like the origin story of the Predators.

They're making a new Predator movie, but IIRC it's a followup to the original set in between the second and third movies.

As for the last movie I watched... A Nightmare Before Christmas. It's become something of an annual tradition for me to watch it twice a year: on Halloween and at Christmas.

I'm the same way with A Nightmare Before Christmas. My uncle John doesn't understand the reason why some people watch it on Christmas.

Interesting, hope its a good movie (Predator).

Well apparently A Nightmare Before Christmas is officially referred to as a Halloween movie according to the creators of it. That's what I've heard at least.

Oh. I always thought it was a Christmas movie :o

I'm interested in this new Predator movie, despite having seen snippets of the last/most recent one :) :thumbsup

Not done yet (as of this post), but watching the Kubrick version of The Shining... Holy s**t, that's a scary movie.

Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce...your...CHAMPION!

That's right folks, the best MCU movie of the year is finally here! (note: not the best Marvel film of the years, as that honor still belongs to "Logan". Yes, even the "Lord of Thunder" himself could not best Weapon X in my eyes)

So...lots of good stuff. Seriously, great action, great set pieces, great humor, I could go on and on. Honestly, the only real negative I could leeway against it, is that I don't think it works as a standalone film. I know, I know, odd criticism as you'd think most people would know by this point about the long-long chain of Marvel films connected to one another (not to mention, that this is the 3rd sequel of a series of films from that) buuut, on the off chance someone does jump into this film without knowledge of any of the other films they'll be lost. Still probably enjoy the film, but still be lost.

Anywho, its a lot of fun and highly enjoyable. I definitely recommend viewing it. :thumbsup

Today I watched with my mom and dad COCO movie from Disney-Pixar, and know what..I LOVE IT!! This movie besides being funny, intriguing, heartbreaking and touching, it also makes a legit and unique homage to the Mexican culture, everything is perfectly captured there, it was the perfect birthday gift for my mom. This movie is SPECTACULAR!!

Disney-Pixar, I LOVE YOU!! Thank you for this beautiful movie!!
