i disagree. im a sucker for most giant monster movies. im in it mainly for the monsters.
    godzilla 2o14- i liked it a lot.
never saw shin godzilla but its original take on Goji maybe a little too original
    Kong Skull Island was good.
Anime Godzilla was not bad and about time we got anime godzilla movie. only gripe was the main character.
Pacific Rim: Uprising was good minus a few things.

If there's any I missed, its because I haven't heard of them and seen them

only saw 2/3 of those and....monster planet was good but i could do without young angry anime Cpt Ahab. Uprising was good minus the pacing and i wish the monsters and jaegers got more screen time. never have seen even the first cloverfield movie

Quick spoiler-free Rampage review: It's good hokey B-movie fun with a surprisingly big, earnest heart. Lots of fresh, exhilarating monster mayhem that indirectly captures the gleeful chaos of the arcade classic. Corny in a good way, despite (or because) it plays the premise more straight-faced than the source material ever did. The Rock and George's bromance is legitimately heartfelt and gives you good reason to care about the city-smashing spectacle. Rampage is better than it has any reason to be, and is 2018's best monster mash so far.

Saw it last night, the monster action wasn't as good as Pacific Rim Uprising, but was still good. Like Pacific Rim, I don't expect a lot from these movies in story line and acting, the stars of kaiju/monster movies are the KAIJU and MONSTERS themselves, and with this movie, that is what you get.

    saw it

all i can say its one of the better giant monster movies to come out this year

    but its not saying much

its far from amazing like others that came out last year or prior but its better than the other stuff we got so far this year

drags in some places but when the monsters do take spotlight its a spectacle that i would argue handled its monsters better than pacific rim uprising

and that actual heart was attempted to put into it(the scenes with davis and george actually felt sincere) unlike uprising which feels more heartless after seeing this movie (probably not fair to compare but there both giant monster movies so i cant help it)

so its worth one viewing for any kaiju fan at least:thumbsup

    A for effort
